As a member congregation of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod,

we joyfully believe and teach that we are saved by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

We acknowledge that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are

God's inerrant and infallible Word & the sole rule and norm for what we believe and teach.

We uphold the Book of Concord of 1580 to be the correct interpretation and presentation of the eternal truth that the Bible teaches. Accordingly we believe that all people are sinful and cannot save themselves by their own power. We believe that Jesus is true God and true man who lived a perfect life in our place, died as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and rose again to win forgiveness, life, and salvation for all people. Today by means of God's Word, Baptism, and Jesus' true Body and Blood in the Lord's Supper, the Holy Spirit delivers this forgiveness, life, and salvation to us and leads us to walk in love toward God and our neighbors.

We give thanks to God for this Christian faith handed down to us

and confess as part of the world-wide Christian church:

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
